Tentsile

People hardly ever go camping. And do you know why? Ignoring the fact that it’s extremely uncomfortable, for some odd reason people tend to fear deadly insects, poisonous snakes and ravage bears. The only solution to such an issue is to move your tent as high away from those pesky predators, and also the cold, wet, contaminated ground (you are camping after all). The tentsile allows just this accomodation, suspending your shelter to fit any surrounding while separating you from danger and holding you in place in case of sand storms, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes etc. (more…)

Arkiv System Bags

You’re not gonna come across a bag that is as practical or contemporarily chic as the Sanction Rucksack walking down the street. But Mission Workshops did a good job in mimicking the Sanction’s style with their Arkiv System Bags, packs that boast both form and function yet may appeal to a more specific crowd than the usual. Opus

Very few people are willing to throw down $250,000.00 for a watch. Hell, the way things are very few people are willing to throw down $250,000.00 for a house. 2012 Luxury Shoes Collection with Roberta Mancino

Stefano Manfredini is one lucky photographer. At the shoot for the 2a2 Spring/Summer Luxury Shoe Collection, his job was to look at Roberta Mancino from all angles, a gig I wouldn’t hesitate to hide from the wife. “Yes, honey, today I photographed animals in the wild. You know, bears, wolves, foxes…pretty boring day.” This fox may as well have been from the wild, with all the ferocity she was channeling at the camera. (more…)

Airline Inspired Fashion Show

My idea of women’s aviation-inspired attire is the same as Mancino’s when she skydives (or these two when they ride the mile-highway): clothing optional. But Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel’s elegant spring-summer collection is a close second. On Tuesday, the second day of haute couture week when designer haughtiness is still fresh, Lagerfeld held an “aeroshow” for his seasonal fashion collection at the Grand Palais in Paris. (more…)

Flex Series by Serengeti

Flexing is what you do when that lost foreign chick asks you for directions and you extend your arms to point in the direction she wants to go. Flexing is what your sunglasses do to fit comfortably around your ears to provide a safe and secure hold. The Flex Series ($189.99-$199.99) by Serengeti Eyewear are featherlight and their flexible flexible ergonomic temples rest so comfortably you forget you’re wearing them. That doesn’t mean you’ll forget about the glasses though, its photochromic PhD lenses constantly lighten and darken to suit your environment and give you a high-def view of every detail you see.
