Parrot AR.Drone 2.0
This iPhone I keep hearing about really doesn’t do a whole lot. Apple should put some serious thought into creating “apps” that can do things like PILOT A FLYING OBJECT. The Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 ($299.99) is cool and all, but it is nothing without the ability of the iPhone or Android to fly it around your house, your neighbor’s house or your lawn, and your neighbor’s lawn.
Without the dead give-away of an RC remote control and a long range from phone to drone, you can mess with just about anyone from a distance and they’ll be under the impression they are being attacked by UFOs. Granted they may get scared and smash the darn thing but that’s the price you pay for such quality entertainment. With an indoor hull to protect it and your possessions from collisions and an aerodynamic outdoor hull for greater control, the Parrot AR.Drone is suited for any environment and ready to amaze strangers and make friends jealous. With several 2-player and single-player apps made specifically for the drone, the fun never ends and its abilities are always being expanded. Normally I would say “The only thing that would make it better is an artificial voice”, but I’ve had bad run-ins with annoying talking “parrots” and I’m not serving time again.
