December’s Sexy Blades Girl Heather Shanholtz

Being comfortable in your own skin. Having self-confidence and high self-esteem. If you have those qualities, then you’re sexy. You don’t need other people to tell you that.

Q: How did you enjoy the Blades shoot with the Bell 407 helicopter?
A: I loved it! The location was great and everything was perfect. Melissa Bay is amazing with makeup and Ashley Romano is phenomenal with hair. It couldn’t have gone better. We had a blast!

Q: What was it like working with Benhur?
A: I love working with Benhur. He’s professional and amazing at what he does. We always have a blast working together and just have fun and laugh—a lot! Benhur’s work isn’t just amazing it’s unique and so artistic. His team is amazing and so organized. Each shoot is different and he thinks outside the box.

Q: What’s the most fun part of your job?
A: I get to play dress up everyday. I also get to travel and see the world, meet interesting people constantly, and see some pretty crazy and amazing things!

Q: What’s the most unusual modeling job you’ve ever had?
A: Any of my Jamaica shoots at Hedonism. It’s a nudist resort, and believe it or not, but the other models and I were the most prude people there, so you can only imagine what goes on!

Q: What does “sexy” mean to you?
A: Being comfortable in your own skin. Having self-confidence and high self-esteem. If you have those qualities, then you’re sexy. You don’t need other people to tell you that.

Q: What would be your ultimate city to view from a helicopter?
A: Dubai. I’ve always wanted to visit. When I finally take my first trip there, I’ll have to do just that and send you the pictures!

Q: If you could bring five people with you in the Bell 407 who would they be?
A: My mom, my sister Ashley, my brother Gene, my Aunt B, and my Aunt Dot. I love my family. I spend every holiday with them including New Year’s Eve.

Q: What do you love about Miami? What’s your favorite thing to do here?
A: Miami is the best place on earth. There is always something to do and you never get bored. Everyone is so motivated and into fitness. The nightlife is amazing and the food is the best, hands down. Plus, I get to run around in a bikini whenever I want! My favorite thing to do is people watch on Lincoln and throw back drinks at LIV.

Q: What’s your Model-Off-Duty look?
A: I don’t get a whole lot of time off, but when I do I’m dressed in sweats and high-heeled tennis shoes or boots, and I’m heavily accessorized with bling. It’s comfortable and if I have to run out anywhere I still look dressed up. I also rock the no makeup look with a little bit of gloss.

Q: What’s playing on your iTunes right now?
A: I’m all over the map when it comes to music. I go through phases. Last month was a lot of hip-hop and a lot of Rick Ross. This month, I’m hooked on the artist Girl Talk from New York. He plays old school hip-hop and rock, and mixes it all in with techno beats and new songs.

Q: Where have you been jet-setting lately?
A: I literally just got back today from Sanibel Island. In the past month I’ve been all over Florida, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. I also went to New Orleans.

Q: What’s your dream destination?
A: Bora Bora. Hopefully I’ll be sitting there next year with a margarita in hand!
