Have you ever been in a crowded parking lot and not been able to find your car? At least your car flashes and honks with a click of your keys. With bicycles the primitive problem still exists! Finding your bicycle in a crowded bike rack can be slow and maddening. Thankfully designer the Acoustic-Optical Bicycle Lock makes searching for a bike in a crowded lot a thing of the past.
The lock features the standard steel wire rope covered in rubber pipe and steel like with a personalized key, but what makes it unique is the tiny speaker and LED light built into the lock and a tiny button and battery in the key. By pressing the button on the key, a radio signal is transmitted on a unique frequency, activating the lock and makes it emit a sharp tone along with a bright light. The lock’s was recognized as winner of 2012 Designs Talent.
